GLUCOSE AND CHOLESTEROL TESTING

First, a small sample of blood is taken from the patient finger using a lancet. The blood is then placed on a test strip that is inserted into the Accutrend Plus machine for cholesterol testing or the ONETOUCH Verio machine for glucose testing. The machine then analyzes the sample and provides a reading of the patient's cholesterol or glucose levels. It is important note that the accuracy of the test results can be affected by factors such as the quality of the blood sample and the calibration of the machine.

The range of the Accutrend Plus cholesterol test in mmol/dL is 3.9-6.9 mmol/L.
